AfrJigi AI-powered learning built for African students

AfrJigi is an education technology company building Akili, a curriculum-aligned AI tutor that helps students understand lessons, work through exercises, and prepare for exams through accessible channels including WhatsApp and the web.

Akili, help me understand this math exercise.
Let us reason step by step. First, identify what the question is asking.
I found P(i) = 0.
Correct. That means i is a root of the polynomial, so P(z) is divisible by z - i.

About AfrJigi

AfrJigi LLC is an AI and education technology company focused on expanding access to personalized educational support for African learners.

We are starting in Côte d’Ivoire, where we are building technology around local curricula, official educational resources, examination requirements, teacher expertise, and the real learning needs of students.

Our long-term vision is to build an African learning platform where artificial intelligence, educational content, teachers, and technology work together to support learners throughout their academic journey.

Meet Akili

Akili is AfrJigi’s AI-powered educational tutor. Students can use Akili to understand difficult concepts, work through exercises step by step, prepare for BEPC and BAC examinations, ask questions using text, submit photos of exercises, and interact through accessible interfaces such as WhatsApp and the web.

Akili is designed to guide students through the reasoning process rather than simply provide completed answers. It is designed to work with curriculum-aligned educational resources, official programs, past examination materials, and pedagogical guidance.

AI that supports teachers not replaces them

AfrJigi believes teachers must remain at the center of education. We work with educators from different subjects to improve Akili’s pedagogical behavior, curriculum alignment, explanations, and student experience.

Our objective is not to replace teachers, but to give students additional educational support while creating technology that can eventually help educators manage some of the repetitive workload associated with large classes.

Learning where students already communicate

AfrJigi makes Akili available through WhatsApp because accessibility matters. Rather than requiring every student to adopt a new complex platform, we are exploring how high-quality AI educational support can be delivered through familiar digital channels already used by students and families.

AfrJigi also provides a web experience for students, teachers, and partners.

From prototype to real-world learning

AfrJigi has moved beyond the idea stage. Akili is already being tested by real users, generating thousands of educational interactions through WhatsApp.

The Grand Pilot is currently underway in Côte d’Ivoire for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Starting with exams. Building for the long term.

BEPC and BAC preparation are an initial entry point, not the final destination. AfrJigi’s long-term goal is to support African learners across multiple stages of education and eventually create an ecosystem where students, teachers, educational content, and AI-powered tools can work together.
